What we keep when you answer

Your answers, exactly as you sent them.

Your age band and the general area you’re in, if you choose to say. An age band is a range like 18 to 24, not a birthday. An area is a postcode area, not an address.

A code that lets your device tell the campaign you’ve already answered it. It isn’t linked to you, and it is the only thing that stops one phone counting twice.

What we don't collect

Your name, your email, your phone number or your exact address. There is no field for any of them, so the organisation asking cannot see them and neither can we.

A screen name, if you set one, stays on your device. It is never attached to an answer.

What the organisation sees

Everyone’s answers together, with an age band and an area beside each one, so it can tell who took part and who is missing.

Every finding carries the numbers behind it. A group too small to report on its own — a handful of people in one age band in one area — is not reported on its own. At that size, a number is a person.

What you wrote in your own words may be quoted in a report. It is quoted without anything that could identify you.

Where your own record lives

The list of what you’ve answered, and the outcomes you’re owed, is kept on this device. Your answers reads it there. Clear your browser and it goes.

An account does one job: it lets us find you when an outcome is published, and carries your record to a new phone. It holds a first name and an email address. It is never required before you answer, and nothing you put in it decides what you can take part in.

Anything you add later — roughly how old you are, roughly where you’re based, what life looks like for you — is asked once, with the reason on screen. It gets reused, so campaigns stop asking you the same things. An organisation sees a band like 18–24 and a suburb. Never a birth date, a name or an email, and never your record from any other campaign.

Closing your account removes your name, your email and your profile. What you answered stays in the campaigns you gave it to, with nobody’s name on it. Those answers were counted in reports that are already written.

Changing or removing an answer

You can change any answer up to the moment you send. After that nobody can edit it — not you, not the organisation, not us. An answer that can be changed afterwards is not evidence.

If you want more than that gone, ask on your profile. A person answers it, not a button, so it takes a few days. You will be told exactly what went and what didn’t — line by line, in their words, on that same page.

What deleting actually reaches

Your account is deleted when you ask.

What a campaign spent is kept. It is the record that the platform did what it says it did, and it holds nothing that identifies a participant.
